No megablock on Western Railway this Sunday

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of three hours will be taken on Churchgate-bound fast lines from 11.50 pm to 2.50 am and on Dahanu-bound fast lines from 1.30 am to 4.30 am between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations during the intervening night of Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17

Major maintenance work between Vasai and Vaitarna stations will lead to minor inconveniences on Saturday night, but on Sunday there will not be any work block on Western Railway Mumbai suburban section.

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of three hours will be taken on Churchgate-bound fast lines from 11.50 pm to 2.50 am and on Dahanu-bound fast lines from 1.30 am to 4.30 am between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations during the intervening night of Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17.  Therefore, there will be no block in the day time over the WR suburban section this Sunday.


Sumit Thakur, chief public relations officer of Western Railway, said during the block period, mail/ express trains will be delayed by 15 minutes and train no. 09101 Virar-Bharuch Mainline EMU train will depart from Virar at 4.50 am instead of 4.35 am.   Passengers are requested to please take note of the above arrangements.  Details in this regard will be available with station masters concerned, Thakur said.
