<p>Narcotics Control Bureau&rsquo;s top sleuth Sameer Wankhede, who was also the investigating officer of the drugs-on-cruise case in which superstar Shah Rukh Khan&rsquo;s son Aryan was arrested has been removed from the case by the agency.</p>
<p>As per latest reports, Wankhede will be transferred to the Delhi unit of NCB and his post of zonal head of Mumbai unit will be occupied by Sanjay Singh.</p>
<p>However, Wankhede told news agency ANI that he has not been removed. &ldquo;I've not been removed from investigation. It was my writ petition in court that the matter be probed by a central agency. So Aryan case and Sameer Khan case are being probed by Delhi NCB's SIT. It's a coordination between NCB teams of Delhi and Mumbai,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>A total of 6 cases of Mumbai zone, including the drugs-on-cruise case will now be investigated by a special Delhi-based team of NCB. &ldquo;It was an administrative decision,&rdquo; says Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy DG, South-Western Region, NCB.</p>
<p>Sameer Wankhede has been in the centre of controversy after Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik levied serious allegations against him in including extortion in cases and forgery in his caste certificate.</p>
<p>After the news of Wankhede&rsquo;s removal broke, Malik took to Twitter to say, &ldquo;a lot more has to be done to clean this system and we will do it.&rdquo;</p><p>
