Now, Mumbai Metro hits logo hurdle

<p>Possibly days away from inauguration, metro stations and trains continue to sport the 'Reliance Metro' logo. MMOPL officials say MMRDA is yet to give them the new 'Mumbai Metro' logos</p>

On the verge of being opened to the public, the Mumbai Metro has run into an unforeseen mega block over the logo to be displayed on the trains and at the stations.

While the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) officials want the logo ‘Mumbai Metro logo’, Reliance Infrastructure authorities, which holds 76 per cent stake in the Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL), say they are still awaiting this new logo design. Earlier, a ‘Reliance Metro’ logo was stuck on the trains and the stations. These old logos have not been removed yet. The first phase of the metro rail is slated to opened anytome before the elections.
