With the frequent restrictions due to the pandemic and an aim to limit crowds on its station premises, the Reliance Infrastructure-led Mumbai Metro One on Saturday activated a live tracking section of passenger crowds at stations and in trains, and also enabled recharge of commute cards on its updated website.

The live tracker lists all ticketed areas of stations from the 11.5 km stretch of Versova to Ghatkopar, and all the trains’ up and down positions at the various stations with colour-coding - with low crowding shown as green, moderate crowding as yellow and dense crowding as red. This will enable people to check live traffic status and real-time congestion on trains and stations. This is the first of its kind feature that allows commuters to plan their journey, avoid travelling during crowded hours, and comfortably reach their destination.
