Mumbai on Sunday reported 875 new confirmed novel Coronavirus infections and 19 deaths. Since the outbreak, the city has confirmed a total of 13,564 COVID-19, which is almost the double of what was reported 10 days back. As on April 30, there were 6,874 infections in the city.

The BMC had recently appointed seven additional commissioners, one for each zone, and asked them to improve the doubling rate to 20 days by May 17. The commissioners have seven more days to double the rate from 10 days to 20 days.
