Over 3 lakh students secure Class 11 admission across Maharashtra by July 2

The Maharashtra government has approved the online Class 11 admission process for the academic year 2025-26, covering all junior colleges across the state. According to the Directorate of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary), the process includes 9,435 junior colleges offering 19,324 branches with batches categorized by grant type.

The results of the first round of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) were declared on June 28, 2025. Admission data shows a varied response across branches, with 29 branches achieving 100 per cent seat allotment, while 2,489 branches have filled between 80 to 99 per cent of their intake. Another 1,888 branches reported 60 to 79 per cent seat allotment, 3,505 branches saw 40 to 59 per cent of their capacity filled, and 10,278 branches received less than 40 per cent applications relative to available seats.


A total of 9,020 branches received more applications than their intake capacity, while 10,304 branches received fewer.



As of July 2, a total of 3,02,061 students have secured admission. Among these, 2,31,456 were admitted through the CAP round, and 70,605 students were admitted under quotas such as management, internal, and minority. Region-wise, Amravati saw 35,817 admissions, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar 33,382, Kolhapur 28,156, Latur 15,575, Mumbai 55,727, Nagpur 38,495, Nashik 39,561, and Pune 53,348.

The deadline for direct admissions to junior colleges is July 7, 2025. Students who are yet to register or complete Part-1 of the application form for online admission can do so between July 2 (from 10:00 am) and July 7 (till 5:00 pm). Students can select their preferred colleges in Part-2 of the application form between July 10 and July 13.

Junior colleges wishing to register themselves for the admission process must do so through the respective Divisional Deputy Director of Education between July 2 and July 7.

The Directorate of Education has urged students, parents, and principals to note these dates and ensure timely completion of the process. Authorities have also requested wide dissemination of this information to ensure smooth implementation across the state.
