Palghar (Maha): A Nigerian national was today allegedly beaten to death by his compatriot over a dispute during a football game in the district, police said.

"The accused Michal Chukuma had a dispute with the victim Abina Chuku over a football game this morning in Agarwal Nagari of Nalasopara area. In a fit of rage, Chukuma hit Chuku with a broken glass and also attacked him with a sharp object," Assistant Police Inspector Sunil Jadhav of Tulinj police station told PTI. Chuku died on the spot.
