<p>Several parts of Mumbai, Thane, Navi <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-opposition-trashes-civic-body-s-91-per-cent-nullah-cleaning-claim-23175440" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mumbai</a> and Palghar witnessed heavy rain on Monday morning.</p>
<p>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light to intense spells of rain.</p>

<p>The IMD's head SID, Climate Research &amp; Services at Pune, K S Hosalikar, tweeted, &ldquo;Nowcast Warning issued at 2200Hrs Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning &amp; mod to intense spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 30-40kmph is likely to occur at isol places in districts of Mumbai &amp; Palghar during next 3 hours. Take precautions while moving out.&rdquo;</p>

<p>On Monday morning, IMD&rsquo;s Santacruz observatory recorded the maximum temperature at 33.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius, while the Colaba observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 33.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius.</p>
