Phone-tapping case: Mumbai police record IPS officer Rashmi Shukla's statement for over 2 hrs

An FIR was registered against her at the Colaba police station in south Mumbai earlier this month under the Indian Telegraph Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code

The Mumbai police on Wednesday recorded the statement of IPS officer and former Maharashtra intelligence chief Rashmi Shukla for more than two hours in connection with a case of alleged illegal tapping of phones, an official said.

Shukla along with her lawyer reached the Colaba police station in south Mumbai at 11 am and left around 1.30 pm.
