The railway administration has decided to restart platform tickets with effect from October 8 till further advice at CSMT, LTT (Kurla), Kalyan, Thane, Dadar and Panvel stations of Mumbai Division due to festival season. However, the platform ticket will cost Rs 50 to curb the excessive rush at platforms during the festive season.

“These tickets are available only at outstation train terminals and available for everyone. The only criteria for outstation trains is that the tickets there are not available for unreserved class,” an official said.
