The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted scattered rainfall in Maharashtra between January 8 and 10.
On Saturday Mumbai woke up to cloudy skies and light rains in various parts of the city. IMD attributed the rains to western disturbances. Experts also said that the city is likely to witness a sharp fall in temperatures.
According to Regional MET, Mumbai’s maximum and minimum temperature on January 9 is 28 degree celcius and 19 degree celcius respectively. Regional MET also stated that the city will witness cloudy skies with a possibility of light rain or drizzle today.
On a related note, with a sharp drop in temperature Mumbai’s air quality has also improved to “moderate” category with an AQI of 76 as of 9am.
