<p>A major power outage on Sunday morning has left parts of the city, including south Mumbai, without electricity and also brought local trains to a standstill.</p>
<p>Officials said a 220kv Mulund-Trombay transmission line has tripped which has affected the power supply to most of South Mumbai.</p>
<p>"Trains have not moved for over 20 minutes. No train has left Churchgate," Jay Dixit, a commuter said.</p>
<p>Western Railway chief public relations officer Sumit Thakur confirmed the development and said power supply had been affected and trains were not moving.</p>
<p>The Central Railway line along Mumbai CSMT was also affected. "Power supply tripped momentarily on HB and Main line from 9.49-52am. Trains are now running on all corridors," Central Railway chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said.</p>
<p>BMC officials said due to some technical issues, there has been power supply failure at many parts of the city.</p>
<p>"Our team is on the field to resolve the issue. The power supply is expected to be restored in an hour. We regret the inconvenience," an official said.</p><p>
