The traffic on the north bound stretch of the Western Express Highway was thrown out of gear since Monday morning, thanks to the pothole-ridden stretch between Borivli and Malad.

By around 6.30 pm on Monday, there was an around 3-km long traffic jam between Kandivli and the JVLR flyover on WEH.
On June 28, mid-day had done a story (<a href="http://www.mid-day.com/articles/mumbai-first-showers-expose-pwds-rs-2-crore-sham/17377188" target="_blank">First showers expose PWD&rsquo;s Rs 2-crore sham</a>) in which it was stated that potholes resurfaced on the WEH between Dahisar and Bandra in less than a month after the PWD ended the pre-monsoon work on May 31.
