Mumbai: Reserved garden plot in Bandra used to store roadwork material, residents protest

Bandra residents have sought BMC action against a road contractor allegedly occupying a garden-reserved plot on Sherly Rajan Road, saying the open space meant for community recreation has been used to store construction material since January

Bandra residents have sought action from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) against a road contractor for allegedly occupying an open plot reserved for a garden on Sherly Rajan Road, off Carter Road, Bandra West.

According to the residents, the plot has been used since January as the contractor’s site office, and storage area for road construction material, including cement sacks, steel rods, and machinery.
