Congress Legislature Party leader Vijay Wadettiwar on Tuesday urged the Maharashtra government to address persistent staffing shortages in the rural healthcare system, saying vacant posts for doctors and healthcare personnel are preventing upgraded hospitals from delivering adequate medical services.

Raising the issue during the Question Hour in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Wadettiwar said that while the state has invested in upgrading healthcare infrastructure, many facilities continue to struggle because sanctioned posts remain unfilled.
