The Maharashtra Government on Monday appointed Acting Director General of Police Sanjay Pandey as the new Mumbai Commissioner of Police, a DGP-rank post.

He replaces Hemant Nagrale, who has been elevated as the new in-charge DGP of Maharashtra.
