Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Friday criticised the Election Commission’s interim decision to freeze the Trinamool Congress’ name and reserved symbol, alleging that democracy would be at risk if the poll body took decisions under pressure.

Raut was speaking to reporters after the Election Commission ordered that neither faction involved in the dispute over the TMC would be allowed to use the party’s name or its reserved ‘Flowers and Grass’ symbol during the October 6 bypolls.
