Save aarey  Following months of correspondence with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the international body funding the Metro Line III, Save Aarey Milk Colony (AMC) group member and environmentalist Rishi Aggarwal received a reply to a specific query he had sent pertaining to the project’s negative impact on the biodiversity at Aarey Milk Colony.

Terming the March 10 response as a calculated move to keep itself away from the ongoing controversy surrounding the construction of a car depot in the AMC, Aggarwal revealed JICA had stated that though it was financing the Metro project, its funding doesn’t include the car depot.
