Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a 42-year-old man murdered his two daughters aged nine and seven, and later committed suicide in Nalasopara in Mumbai.

Accordng to a suicide note recovered from the spot, the man took the extreme step because his wife, who was allegedly having an extra-marital affair eloped with her lover.

The man identified as Shreedhar Shetty, strangled his daughters to death while they were sleeping on Tuesday night and then he committed suicide by hanging himself, the cops said.
The police also added that Shetty's wife Sonal was having an extra marital affair and ran away with her lover. Shetty, who apparently knew about his wife's affair, was extremely upset after she eloped with her lover and took the extreme step.
