It&rsquo;s been a fortnight since the signboard stating &lsquo;Dr Ashok Chopra Marg&rsquo; remains fallen in Versova, but the BMC is yet to fix it. Dr Chopra is actor Priyanka Chopra&rsquo;s father and the road near the actor&rsquo;s residence was named in the army veteran&rsquo;s honour.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had inaugurated the road on June 10, 2014. A source close to the Chopras claimed that though Priyanka is not in the city owing to her professional commitments, she had requested the BMC officials to fix the board the moment the issue was brought to her notice.
The source added she has been following up on the issue since. When contacted, E E Ingale, from BMC&rsquo;s traffic department, said they had received neither a request nor a complaint asking them to fix the board. &ldquo;I will have to check with my office and get back to you about it tomorrow,&rdquo; Ingale had said yesterday.
