Six-hour block on Mumbai-bound corridor of Expressway on Thursday

The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation MRVC announced a sixhourlong block on the Mumbai bound corridor of the MumbaiPune Expressway on Thursday for the PanvelKarjat double line railway projectMaharashtra State Road Development Corporation MSRDC said in a release that the roadblock will be implemented from 11 am to 5 pm on November 9Light and heavy vehicles wont be allowed on the Mumbaibound carriageway at Chikhale near Kalamboli where a Rail Over Bridge ROB is being erected as part of the railway project news agency PTI reported quoting an MRVC official The roadblock has been mainly undertaken for launching girders he addedMotorists travelling towards Mumbai can exit on the old MumbaiPune Highway MH48 at Khopoli and Panvel the release saidMeanwhile the Western Railway has said that it will run five more pairs of festival special trains and almost 6 lakh passengers are likely to benefit by these special trainsIn an official statement the Western Railway said that till date 344 trips of festival special trains are being run by the Western Railway to various destinations in the countryIt said for the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand
