Smart electric buses equipped with AI-based integrated safety systems will soon be inducted into the fleet of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), announced state Transport Minister and MSRTC Chairman Pratap Sarnaik.

He was speaking to the media during a demonstration of smart e-buses in Pune.

Sarnaik stated that the MSRTC has adopted the state government’s policy of promoting electric vehicles. As part of this initiative, out of the 5,000 new self-owned buses planned in the future, a minimum of 1,000 buses per year will be electric.
