The Deputy Commissioner of sales tax is on the run after he attacked his wife with a kitchen knife at their Borivli residence on Thursday night.

The Borivli police have registered a case of assault and are on the hunt for the commissioner. Accused Deepak Sankhe’s wife Shobha, in her complaint to the police, said that her husband was an alcoholic, and this had caused great turmoil in their marital relationship.
