Though 10 hawkers did suffer minor injuries, no one was seriously injured, according to the Dongri police. The injured were rushed to JJ Hospital and immediately discharged after some treatment. The driver has been booked for negligent driving.

Around 2.30 pm on Tuesday, Imran Mohammed Salim Barniwala (19), drove a Honda city car into the Navroji Hill Road 2, near Dongri market from the wrong side and accidentally rammed into the hawkers selling their goods in that lane. To confound the issue, Imran was driving his cousin's car at the time of the accident.
