Teen kills tuition colleague after brawl over bunking

Victim had threatened to bring the accused's frequent absence to the notice of the instructor

A 16-year-old boy was arrested by Oshiwara police for murdering another youngster after a brawl on Wednesday night. The two attended the same tuition classes. Cops say the victim a student of Al-Itihadd Urdu High School in Jogeshwari (West) was killed after he warned the accused that he would bring his frequent absence to the notice of the instructor.

According to police officers, Irfan Abdul Qureshi, the deceased, was a Std IX student and went to the coaching classes at Vikas Nagar in Jogeshwari. On Wednesday, when the accused, who was weak in studies, reached the tuition centre, Irfan intercepted him and threatened to complain to the teacher about the fact that he had been bunking classes for the past two days.
