<p>On Sunday, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/two-shanties-collapse-in-thane-city-no-casualties-23246374" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a> reported 27 new cases of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/india-records-5664-new-covid-19-cases-35-deaths-23246330" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Covid-19</a>, taking its infection tally to 1,96,503, a health official said.</p>
<p>With the addition of the latest numbers on Sunday, Thane city currently has 244 active Covid-19 cases, as per the data shared by the official.</p>

<p>The recovery rate of the city is 98.78 per cent.</p><p>
