Thane civic body launches drive against illegal water connections in Mumbra, Diva

Thane Municipal Corporation has launched a three-day drive against illegal water connections in Mumbra and Diva. The campaign targets unauthorized domestic users, commercial establishments, private tanker operators and service stations, with criminal cases to be filed against violators

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Thursday launched a three-day special drive against unauthorized water connections in the Mumbra and Diva areas, targeting illegal water usage by commercial establishments, service stations, private tanker operators, and unauthorized domestic consumers.

As per the officials, the special drive began on July 30 and is being carried out by the civic body's Water Supply Department through two dedicated teams operating in the Mumbra and Diva ward committee areas.
