A 17-year-old boy died after falling from a running local between Ambarnath and Badlapur railway station on March 7
The deceased, Deva Pawar, had gone to Ambarnath to seek blessings on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Unfortunately, while returning home, he met with an accident.

The parents of the boy allege that he did not get timely help, due to which he succumbed to injuries. GRP officials, however, denied this. They claimed that the family did not even inform them, and took the deceased to the hospital.
A relative of Pawar, Sachin Shinde, informed the GRP about the incident, after with the Kalyan GRP, along with the helper and station manager, reached the spot and searched for the body but could not find it. "We searched for Pawar at civic hospitals in Kalyan and Ulhasnagar, but couldn&rsquo;t find him for more than 12 hours. Later, along with his parents, we personally visited the railway tracks and found him lying in a pool of blood. He had succumbed to his injuries," added Shinde.
The mother of the victim blamed the railway authorities and the GRP, and felt he could have been saved with timely intervention.
A case of accidental death has been register at Kalyan GRP. &ldquo;Railway authorities should be responsible for it. Then too we carried a search operation but couldn&rsquo;t find the victim&rsquo;s boy," added a senior officer, stating that after the deceased was found, the family directly admitted him to a hospital and later took him back home, instead of informing the cops.
