Two corporators arrested by the Thane police for their alleged involvement in Thane builder Suraj Parmar’s suicide case, approached the Bombay High Court yesterday requesting a stay on the state government’s order for disqualifying them. Their plea will be heard on Thursday.

The two Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporators Najib Mulla and Hanumant Jagdale have an FIR registered against them under Section 33 of the Maharashtra Municipal Act. They approached the court after it granted relief to independent corporator Sudhakar Chavan till June 20. Chavan too is an accused in the Parmar suicide case.
