<p>Three persons travelling in a car had a narrow escape after their car caught fire on a flyover near Kalwa in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/opinion/article/quick-work-should-be-cornerstone-of-infra-projects-23270157" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a>.</p>
<p>The incident took place at around 3 am on Monday morning near Kharegaon toll plaza. The car was heading towards Nashik from <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-two-migrants-found-dead-in-bhandup-shop-23270162" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai</a>.</p>
<p>According to officials, traffic movement on the road was affected for some time.</p>

<p>The car occupants stopped the car after seeing smoke coming out of the vehicle, the Thane Municipal Corporation's regional disaster management cell chief Avinash Sawant said.</p>
<p>"No one was injured in the fire, but the car was completely damaged. A probe was on to ascertain the cause of the blaze," Sawant added.&nbsp;</p><p>
