A fire broke out at two roadside food stalls near the gate of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) Hospital on MM Valley Road at Mittal Ground in Mumbra during the early hours of Friday, officials said.

According to the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, information about the incident was received from the Mumbra Fire Station at around 1:17 am on May 8, 2026. The blaze reportedly started at a pani puri stall and a momos stall located near the hospital entrance.
