Transformer fire in Thane’s Wagle Estate doused, no injuries reported

A transformer fire broke out in Wagle Estate, Thane to which Emergency teams responded quickly, cut off power supply and extinguished the fire with half an hour

Fire brigade, MSEDCL act swiftly to control Thane transformer fire. PIC/TMC Disaster Management Cell

A fire broke out in an electrical transformer near Hindustan Hotel, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Wagle Estate, Thane (West) in the early hours of Sunday. The incident was reported to the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation by the Pachpakhadi Fire Station.

Following the alert at around 12:45 am, police personnel, the fire brigade and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) staff rushed to the spot. The response included one fire engine and one rescue vehicle.
