A fire that broke out at a timber yard near Phadke Pada Lake in Mumbai was successfully brought under control by fire officials. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported, and cooling operations were carried out to prevent further flare-ups

A fire broke out at a timber yard in Diva in the early hours of Thursday, prompting a swift response from local fire brigade personnel. As per the official statement, the incident was reported to the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) at around 4:43 am.

According to officials, the blaze occurred at a timber yard owned by Yash Bhagwan Faujdar, located at Chandicha Pada near Phadke Pada Lake on Khardi Road in the Khardi area of Diva. 


Firefighters from the Diva Beat Fire Station rushed to the spot with one fire tender and a rescue vehicle to contain the situation.



Officials further said that the fire was confined to one side of the timber yard, where a quantity of timber was damaged due to the blaze. 

Authorities confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

The authorities further said that the fire brigade teams worked promptly to douse the flames, bringing the situation under control within an hour. The fire was completely extinguished by approximately 5:30 am.

Officials stated that the situation is now fully under control, and further investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Eleven autorickshaws damaged in fire at Ghatkopar

In a sudden fire incident on Wednesday, at least eleven autorickshaws were completely gutted after a blaze broke out under the Ramabai Bridge near Chedda Nagar Junction in Ghatkopar

PSI Kohli from Pant Nagar Police Station, while briefing about the incident, said that the fire was reported at around 1 pm.

Preliminary information suggests that the flames rapidly spread, engulfing the parked autorickshaws within minutes.

Officials suspect that the fire may have originated from a garbage dump located beneath the bridge, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed. 

Thick smoke was seen billowing from the site, causing panic among commuters and residents in the vicinity.

Fire breaks out at a residential building in Diva; no injuries are reported

A fire broke out in a residential building in Diva in the early hours of Wednesday but was swiftly brought under control with no injuries reported, officials said.

According to the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, the incident was reported at around 1:54 am by the Diva Beat Fire Station. The blaze occurred at Baburao Residency, located near Hanuman Temple, close to Diva Railway Station in Diva (West).

The fire originated in the kitchen of Room No. 103 on the first floor of the ground-plus-four-storey building. The flat is owned by Dinesh Sawant and was occupied by tenant Sushil Mestri. Preliminary information suggests that a short circuit in the kitchen’s electrical board triggered the fire, which spread to the refrigerator.
