A fire broke out on the first floor of a residence located in the Bhoir Chawl in Shastri Nagar, Thane West, as per Thane Municipal Corporation's (TMC's) Disaster Management Cell. 

According to the cell, the incident was reported at 10.43 am of the ground-plus-one structure owned by Vijay Ramrao Gujar.
