Maharashtrian women celebrated Gudi Padwa on Saturday in a traditional way in Thane. The festival marks the first day of the Hindu New Year. The event started with 'Shobha Yatra' from Kopineshwar Temple, Jambhli Naka to Gadkari Drama Center Thane west. Ladies, dressed in traditional attire danced to the tunes of lezim in the procession which was celebrated with much fanfare.
