Thane: A 40-year-old man allegedly sodomised a six-year-old boy for nearly eight months and threatened him with dire consequences if he revealed the offence to anyone, police said on Tuesday.

The accused sodomised the boy residing in his neighbourhood from August 2014 till last month at his home in Sawarkar Nagar area of the city by calling him on some pretext, Vartak Nagar police station sub-inspector Sayli Chavan said. He also allegedly used to make the boy watch objectionable content on his mobile phone, she said quoting the complaint filed by the victim's mother last night.
