The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) staged a cartoon-based protest at Nitin Company in Thane on Wednesday, raising concerns over alleged discrepancies in voter lists and the handling of objections filed by voters.

The protest was organised on behalf of Swapnil Mahindrakar, Thane city president of the MNS's Public Interest and Legal Department. Using the slogan “A drought of transparency in the temple of democracy”, the party sought to draw attention to the Election Commission's functioning and the need for greater transparency in the electoral process.
