<p><strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Thane-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a></strong> district on Sunday reported as many as 17 new <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Covid_19-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Covid-19</a></strong> cases. The new cases took the infection tally to 1,96,600 according to a bulletin issued by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).</p>
<p>According to the bulletin, no death was reported on September 25. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands at 2,162.</p>

<p>With the addition of the latest cases on Sunday, Thane currently has 129 active Covid-19 cases.</p>
<p>26 Covid-19 patients recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,94,309. The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.83 per cent.</p><p>
