One person was killed and four others were injured after a car rammed into a stationary trailer truck during the early hours of Tuesday on the Mumbai-Nashik highway near Kalwa. Out of the four injured, three people are critically injured, while one has suffered minor injuries. 

As per an official statement from the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, the accident was reported around 3.55 am near the Nayara petrol pump at Kharegaon Toll Naka on the Mumbai-bound carriageway in Thane.
