A fire broke out in two parked four-wheeler vehicles near Gayatri Salon in Sindhi Colony, Kopri, Thane East, in the early hours of Friday. The incident was reported to the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Management Cell at around 3.04 am on Friday.

Two vehicles, a Tata Nano and a Maruti Suzuki WagonR, were completely gutted in the fire, while another Maruti Suzuki WagonR suffered partial damage, with flames affecting its right side. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Navi Mumbai: Fire breaks out at chemical company in Taloja MIDC
In another similar fire incident on Friday, a massive fire broke out at a chemical company located in the Taloja Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Navi Mumbai.
Three fire tenders rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident. Firefighting teams were engaged in efforts to douse the flames and bring the situation under control.
Thick smoke from the blaze spread to the surrounding areas, triggering concern among residents. However, no casualties have been reported so far, officials said.

Fire breaks out at power loom factory
Earlier, on Wednesday, a fire had broken out at a power loom factory in Khoni village’s Siddharth Nagar area during the early hours, according to officials. The situation worsened after a cylinder at the site exploded, leaving one firefighter injured.
Fire officials later confirmed that the blaze was successfully brought under control. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
40 rescued from Mumbai housing complex fire
Nearly 40 people were rescued after a fire broke out at a 23-storey residential building in Mumbai's Andheri West area on Thursday morning, officials said.
Nobody was injured in the fire that started around 10 am at Sorrento Tower near Country Club on Veera Desai Road, they said.
A civic official said 30-40 persons were rescued from the 16th-floor refuge area through the staircase, while three others, including a woman, were moved to safety from a flat on the 15th floor using breathing apparatus.
