The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has launched a large-scale operation to disconnect unauthorised water connections found on the 600-mm-diameter main water pipeline and distribution pipelines supplying the Mumbra and Diva areas.

According to a public notice issued by the TMC Water Supply Department, civic officials are disconnecting illegal tap connections and registering criminal cases against those found responsible.
