To address commuting woes, MSRDC plans to develop elevated road between Kalyan and Bhiwandi

While the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has plans to develop Bhiwandi as a logistics hub as a part of MMRDA’s growth centres in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), commuting that is a problem between Mumbai and Kalyan to Bhiwandi due to bad network of roads would also be addressed in next two to three years. Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is going to develop an elevated road between Kalyan and Bhiwandi.
The process to make the project into a reality has been started as MSRDC is appointing a consultant for preparing feasibility study and preparation of Detailed Project Report for six-laning cum elevated Road on Bhiwandi-Kalyan Shilphata road.
