As cops seek 5-day custody citing infidelity in Tunisha case, lawyer slams ‘character assassination’

The Waliv police have recovered the mobile phone of actor Sheezan Khan, accused of abetting the suicide of his co-actor and former girlfriend Tunisha Sharma, and claimed that Khan had deleted his chat with a woman with whom he had spoken for two hours over call after Sharma’s death.
The cops produced him before Vasai Killa Court and sought his custody for five days. However, after hearing Khan’s lawyer’s arguments, the court remanded him in police custody for two days. Cops also told the court that they have found a love letter from the set that Tunisha Sharma had written. The letter read: “Sheezan <3 Tunisha. He is blessed to have me as a co-actor Woohoo !!!” The police have not found any suicide note from the set in Vasai where Sharma hanged herself to death on December 24. They also said that they suspect Khan was having an affair with a woman after breaking up with Sharma.
