Television actor <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/television-news/article/Karan-Mehras-grandmother-passes-away-actor-pens-heartfelt-note-for-his-ammijaan-22848244" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karan Mehra</a>, who was arrested by the Goregaon police in an alleged domestic violence case, has been granted bail on Tuesday. The case was filed by Karan's wife Nisha Rawal at Goregaon police station.
The 38-year-old actor, who played the lead role in popular TV show &lsquo;Yeh Rishta Kya Kahelata Hai&rsquo;, was arrested on Tuesday morning and was granted bail shortly after.
Police said that the couple had a fight on Monday night and during the argument, Karan allegedly pushed his wife against the wall.
Speaking with Midday, Zone 11 DCP Vishal Thakur said, &ldquo;Karan and Nisha had a fight on Monday night. Nisha rushed to the police station for help and filed a complaint. We registered a case under IPC sections 336, 337, 332, 504 and 506. This is a bailable offence and he was released on bail.&rdquo;

Police inspector Shivaji Jadhav from Goregaon police station said, &ldquo;On Monday night, complainant Nisha and her husband Karan Mehra both came together to the police station. Nisha said that during the argument Karan abused her and also pushed her against the wall. Nisha suffered injuries on her head. We recorded the statement of both of them.&rdquo;
Karan and <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/television-news/article/Happy-Birthday-Karan-Mehra-Wife-Nisha-Rawals-wish-for-him-is-full-of-love-21708155" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nisha</a>, also a TV actor, met in 2007. They got married in November 2012 and have a four-year-old son Kavish.
Police said that the couple started fighting in May as Nisha doubted Karan. This is the first time Nisha has registered a case against her husband. Earlier, Nisha had denied reports of marital discord.
Karan has participated in several television shows, including Bigg Boss 10, Nach Baliye 5 and Kitchen Champion 5.
