Two separate tree fall incidents were reported in Thane on Monday night. In both cases, no injuries were reported, and prompt response by authorities ensured swift clearance of the affected areas.

According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the first incident occurred around 8:54 PM near Hira Panna Mall in Kharegaon, Kalwa (West). A team from the Jawaharbagh Fire Station, along with a rescue vehicle and staff from the Tree Authority Department, responded quickly to the scene.

Officials confirmed that the hazardous portion of the fallen tree was cut and removed. The remaining debris is scheduled to be cleared on Tuesday morning.

In a second incident, reported at 11:12 PM, a tree fell on a parked vehicle outside the Riviera Building in Hiranandani Estate, Patlipada (Thane West). The tree landed on a Hyundai Venue (registration number MH 04 LT 7190) owned by Ajit Kumar, damaging the rear portion of the car.

Firefighters, supported by a rescue vehicle, a fire engine, and a JCB from the Disaster Management Cell, were deployed to the site. The tree was cut and removed using the JCB. Fortunately, no injuries occurred in this incident either.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the location after a fire call was received at 1:15 pm.

The blaze was swiftly brought under control. While the auto-rickshaw was gutted, officials confirmed that there were no injuries to any individuals at the scene.
