Two youths drowned in the sea at Chowpatty beach on Sunday evening.

According to the Disaster Management cell, Fardeen Nagauri (19) and Ahad Bhati (18) had went to Chowpatty with their five friends.

Around 4 pm they went into the sea for a swim but got caught in the waves and drowned.

Their bodies have still not been recovered. The Navy has joined search operations with the fire brigade and life guards.

Fardeen was a resident of Jogeshwari's Crystal Towers and Ahad was living in Prathmesh Kutir.
