Stepping up his allegations against the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi dispensation, Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had been given a report on corruption in the transfer of police officers, but the findings were ignored.

During his Sunday’s media interaction, Fadnavis accused NCP chief Sharad Pawar of saying half-truths to save the government. “Before Param Bir Singh made serious allegations against the home minister, the then director-general of police (state) Subodh Kumar Jaiswal had submitted a detailed report on a transfer racket in the home department. The then commissioner of state intelligence Rashmi Shukla had dug out all details of the agents and the bribes taken for giving choice postings. Neither the CM nor the home minister acted on the report,” said Fadnavis in Nagpur.
