A man was arrested on Saturday for making a hoax bomb call to the police control room. The accused was identified as Nasim Sheikh (21), who works at a cosmetics factory in Delhi. Sheikh, who is originally from Bihar, came to Mumbai few days ago and was staying with his brother at Shivaji Nagar at Govandi. On Friday, Sheikh attended a sabha of the Shiv Sena at Shivaji Nagar around 5 pm.
Later he got drunk and called on the main control number of the police at 11:50 pm and said, “Bomb ek ghante mein udne wala hai” (A bomb will go off in an hour). The policeman at the other end asked him where the bomb was, to which Sheikh said, “Aapko pata chal jayega.”
