Vasai collector, cops come to the rescue of 35-year-old man who wanted to end his life

Amid no job, money, poor health and no one to turn to, Somnath Choudhary wrote to the Palghar district collector, who, along with Manikpur police, has helped him recover from tuberculosis

Poor health and penury forced a 35-year-old man to write to the Palghar district collector for permission to take his life. Somnath Choudhary lost his wife, Minakshi, to COVID-19 last year, he is suffering from tuberculosis while his son is unwell and needs surgery. His SOS made the government machinery in the district swing into action and rescue him.
The Palghar district collector first got Choudhary admitted to JJ Hospital and then Sewree TB hospital in Mumbai. After he reached home, he got further help from
Manikpur police.
