The Nayan Foundation’s Dhristiheen Govinda Pathak, Mumbai’s first group comprising solely of visually impaired participants, celebrated its 13th year taking part in the Dahi Handi festival across Mumbai and Thane.  Every year, the group hires two buses to take all 35 of its members to various pandals starting from Dadar and ending in Thane.

Speaking about his experiences this year, Devendra Ponnalagar, who has been a member of Dhristiheen Govinda Pathak since Year One and also the president of the Nayan Foundation, said, “We had a very good time this year as well, all our members had done very well during training sessions carried out over the past few months, and that showed on Saturday, as we participated easily with great coordination.”
